  1. According to Dev note regarding to update plan in the third quarter of 2020 here. Some of contents have been updated as below. 1. Improves the effects of some Warrior's Grave headgear. Among the Warrior's Grave headgear. Some of their effects are inferior compared to others. So the team improve some of their effect to be equal to others. Old Driver Band (Yellow) : Improves Arm Cannon damage bonus from 5% to 15%. Old Minstrel's Song Hat & Old Dying Swan : Improves Severe Rainstorm damage bonus from 5% to 15%. Old Magic Stone Hat : Improves Soul Expansion damage bonus from 5% to 15%. Old Bone Circlet : Improves Cross Impact damage bonus from 10% to 15%. Old Protection Crown : Improves Overbrand damage bonus from 5% to 15%. 2. New enchants and enchant effects improvement. 2.1. Introduces new enchants for Warrior's Grave headgear and Temporal Circlet. "Tenacity" 2.2. Improves the effects of current enchants of Warrior's Grave headgear and Temporal Circlet as below. 2.3. Improves the penalty of some enchants of Temporal Boots as below. Bear's Power : Removes Bigfoot transformation effect. Muscle Fool : Changes penalty from "reduces Atk and Matk by 50%" to "drains 50 SP per second". Speed of Light : Changes penalty from "drains 400 HP and 40 SP per second" to "drains 50 SP per second". 2.4. Improves the effect of Temporal Jewel (Luk). The critical damage bonus of Temporal Jewel (Luk) has been increased from 2%/4%/6% to 3%/6%/9% (level 1/2/3). 3. New enchant function. Some of enchant systems as below gain the additional option for guaranteed enchant. At a cost of the large amount of enchant materials and/or zeny. The enchantment or enchant upgrading will be guaranteed. 3.1. Final enchant of Warrior's Grave headgear. You can choose the desired enchant and can upgrade the enchant without fail up to level 5. - Cost for choosing the desired enchant : 5,000,000 zeny + Cursed Fragment 200 ea. - Cost for upgrading the enchant from level 1 to level 2 : 3,500,000 zeny + Cursed Fragment 100 ea. - Cost for upgrading the enchant from level 2 to level 3 : 5,000,000 zeny + Cursed Fragment 200 ea. - Cost for upgrading the enchant from level 3 to level 4 : 8,000,000 zeny + Cursed Fragment 250 ea. - Cost for upgrading the enchant from level 4 to level 5 : 14,000,000 zeny + Cursed Fragment 350 ea. 3.2. Final enchant of Racing Cap. You can choose the desired enchant and can upgrade the enchant without fail up to level 3 (max level). - Cost for choosing the desired enchant : 10,000,000 zeny + Racing Thank Ticket 250 ea. - Cost for upgrading the enchant from level 1 to level 2 : 7,500,000 zeny + Racing Thank Ticket 500 ea. - Cost for upgrading the enchant from level 2 to level 3 : 10,000,000 zeny + Racing Thank Ticket 1,000 ea. 3.3. Final enchant of King Schmidt's Insignia. You can choose the desired enchant and the enchantment won't fail. - Cost for choosing the desired enchant : 30,000,000 zeny + Curse-eroded Gemstone 50 ea + Corrupted Spell 200 ea + Powerful Dimensional Essence 3 ea. 3.4. Final enchant of Temporal Boots (both unslotted and slotted). You can choose the desired enchant and the enchantment won't fail (for slotted Temporal Boots). Unslotted Temporal Boots - Cost for choosing the desired enchant : 5,000,000 zeny + Coagulated Spell 100 ea. Slotted Temporal Boots - Cost for choosing the desired enchant : 15,000,000 zeny + Coagulated Spell 150 ea + Corrupted Spell 50 ea + Powerful Dimensional Essence 1 ea. Currently Powerful Dimensional Essence can be obtained from Kachua's Secret Box and it's a rare drop from Glast Heim Challenge Mode bosses (Phantom of Himmelmez and Phantom of Amdarais).   2. Today we'll introduce the update plan the fourth quarter of this year. Before the introduction. We would like to tell the info about fourth class jobs and related system that recently updated. Currently the dev team is continuing to adjust the balance of each jobs. Not just damage but also play style, positioning and more. The fourth class jobs update and trait status system also be part of the balance. Rather than to rely on damage of fourth class skills. The purpose of fourth class skills are to be the synergy with previous class skills to increases effectiveness and survival of character and party play style . Though some jobs still be insufficient so we'll do additional adjustment later. In case of trait status system. The player will feel the growth on character as higher level. In the future we'll adjust and implement the new system to increases the synergy of previous class and fourth class to be closer. In case of babies in "family system". At the first look the role of babies are the new characters who newly enter the world and meet the new friend. The anyway the babies must have to grow therefore they must become independent from their parent and walk on their own adventure in the larger world. In the future. The higher rank of expanded class jobs also be implemented as same as fourth class jobs. For the player who love the cute little character as the baby. We'll introduce the new system that make your character to be small and cute anytime and any job. We'll inform you in the future dev note. We apologize to all who love baby that we implemented such change (baby restriction that implemented on 4th patch) without advanced notice and make you all confuse. 1. New system : Item alteration reform system. The researchers of Regenchirm found the new breakthrough that will improve the player performance. As we mentioned the previous dev note. the most of existing level 4 weapons and equipment can be upgraded to level 5 weapons and level 2 equipment. Refine rate / enchants / random options still be intact. <new gear upgrade system will be updated!> 2. New system : Reputation system. The reputation system will be updated so the player can enjoy the play style they choose. <new reputation system will be updated!> When progressing quests or instances through reputation system. The reputation value will be given to character depends on their choice. Player will gain special content when reach certain reputation value such as new NPC illustration or art on certain NPCs. <new reputation system will be updated!> 3. New content : Hero's Trail side-stories Three new contents will be updated as the theme of the story after Hero Trail. The player can experience the new story after the original Hero's trail along with new gears and cards. We'll update later. 3.1. Geffen Night Arena It is said that after Geffen Magic Tournament is over. The more intense competition is held in the night in Geffen Magic Arena.   3. About the Genetic second improvement that is testing in Sakray. We got many feedback from players and then we'll improve some skills. The following information will be added in Genetic second improvement and the detail that will be added in the future. 1. Cart Cannon damage formula improvements. We received feedback from players that this skill and Rune Knight's Dragon Breath are special type skills that work differently from other skills that have hit/flee and HardDef calculation. And the skill animation doesn't be affected by attack speed. So. If we improve the skill animation to be affected by attack speed. Cart Cannon must be changed to be the same as other skills that have hit/flee and HardDef calculation too However The above changes will result the players to change their equipment and build. So we'll improve the skill damage in damage formula instead. - Removes factor "(int/40)" from skill formula. - Removes factor "(Cart Remodeling skill level x 50)" from skill formula. - Increases base damage to 350%Atk per skill level. So on level 5 will be 1750%Atk. - Damage will be increased depends on user's int and Cart Remodeling skill level. - Maintains the bonus damage that depends on user's base level. 2. Acid Bomb mechanism improvements. We gained feedback from this skill more than Cart Cannon. This skill has many issues such as very low or zero damage on low vit target and forced neutral property. As the new monsters have very low vit result the skill deal very low damage. Because the skill formula has influence on target's vit directly. Acid Bomb will be changed as below - Changes skill type. - - Before : physical/magical hybrid special long ranged physical damage that ignores hit/flee check and defense. - - After : Normal long ranged physical damage that will check hit/flee and calculated HardDef as percentage. - Minimum damage is 2000%Atk on low vit target, Damage will be increased depends on user's int and target's vit. - Changes skill element from forced neutral property to depends on weapon element instead. - Increases SP consumption to 50, adds 0.15 seconds cooldown. Above Cart Cannon and Acid Bomb improvements will be updated on upcoming Genetic second improvement. 3. Homunculus AI We got many negative feedback from "grazing build" players since Genetic first improvement because their homunculus can't do auto attack and made the very inconvenience to them. So we'll make an improvements that still under development. - Manually clicking to order homunculus to attack will be removed. - Summoning duration will be added (Homunculus will have limited duration once being summoned), Item used to summon homunculus will be added. Homunculus improvements won't be update on Genetic second improvement because there are many thing that we are improving such as homunculus intimacy and others that still under development. Summary : Cart Cannon and Acid Bomb improvements will be updated on upcoming Genetic second improvement while Homunculus AI won't.   11. Today we'll introduce the new systems that will come along with fourth class. 1. Activity Point system When you change class to fourth class. You'll gain an Activity Point (AP) following HP and SP. AP will be used by some powerful skills. Max value of AP is 200 for all fourth class jobs. <Exclusive AP system for fourth class jobs will be added> AP can only be recovered by using certain skills that have ability to recovery AP. Some skills can recover AP to other players, or even consume AP from other players. (Above : Madness Crusher recovers 2 AP while Vigor consumes 150 AP) 2. Expanding weapon level and adding equipment level. Weapon level, which currently is level 4 max, will be expanded to level 5. And equipment level will be added up to level 2. level 5 weapons and level 2 equipment can be refined with the new refinement system that we'll introduce as below. Both can be obtained from the new dungeon contents. For an existing level 4 weapons and equipment, that already have some upgrades such as refine rate / enchants / random options, will be developed to can be upgraded to level 5 weapons and level 2 equipment. <Weapon level will be expanded and equipment level will be added> Level 5 weapons and level 2 armor will use the different refinement system from existing ones. 2.1. Refining Ores. Adds new ores to refining level 5 weapons and level 2 equipment. They can be obtained from the crafting as below. The Enriched / High Enriched / High Density series of existing refining ores can be crafted to higher quality refining ores too. And we'll set the refining ore to be trade-able. <New refining ores can be obtained from crafting the existing ores with new material obtained from new contents and Zeny) (Above : The name of ores are Etherenium, Etheredecon, Ether Bradium, Ether Carnium and Enriched Etherenium) 2.2. Refining Method. Refining level 5 weapons and level 2 equipment is different from previous one. From refine level 1 to 10. There is no "gear destruction" upon failure regardless ore type used. And from refine level 11 to 20. There is no "refine rate reduction" upon failure regardless ore type used. "Refine Guarantee" will can't be used to level 5 weapons and level 2 equipment. (By the way, "Blacksmith's Blessing" still can be used on them as the same way and we'll improve it to can be used up to refine level 14.) <level 5 weapons and level 2 equipment have the different refining method> Above : 2.3. Refining Bonus For level 5 weapons. Each refine level give you 8 Atk/Matk and additional P.Atk and S.Matk by 2. For level 2 equipment. Each refine level give you Def more than normal method by 120% and additional Res and Mres by 2. Unlike normal refining method. The bonus above refine level 16 isn't applied. 3. Gear grade and grade enhancement system. Grade system is applied to level 5 weapons and level 2 equipment. New gears will have grade from 1 to 4. The refining bonus will be increased as percentage as higher grade. Example : Grade 1 level 5 weapon, refining bonus on refine level 12 = Atk + 96 / Matk + 96 Grade 2 level 5 weapon, refining bonus on refine level 12 = Atk + 144 / Matk + 144 <Grade display will show as the bordered colored window on the item> Enhancing gear to higher grade can be performed on the certain refine rate of such gears. Success chance will be increased depend on refine rate of gear and additional materials used on processing. <Depends on the quality of material. The penalty of enhancing failure will be reduced> (Above : the material used for enhancing names "Ether Aquamarine". Using Ether Aquamarine 1 ea has a chance to destroy the gear on failure. Using Ether Aquamarine 5 ea won't destroy the gear on failure.) You can gain materials used for enhancing from the new dungeons that will be updated along with this patch. Instance Detail Entry NPC : Oscar (locates on around 10 O'clock of Glast Heim map) Required Level : 170 or higher Instance time : 60 minutes duration. 3 days cooldown Reward : Temporal Fragment Temporal Gemstone Temporal Spell Sealed Temporal Circlet The instance has 10 level difficulties. Higher level give you more reward. And the lower time spend in the instance, the higher amount of reward obtained. The rewards are used to exchange the new set of headgears, weapons and cards. And enchant the headgears. 1. Item exchange NPC HUGINN2001 provides the service to exchange instance rewards to new headgears and cards. And converts Sealed Temporal Circlet to other materials. Headgears 1.1. Sealed Temporal Circlet 5 ea can be exchanged to 1 type of Temporal Circlet. (player can choose desired circlet) Cards 1.2. 2 New cards can be obtained by exchanging Temporal Spell. Mutated White Knight Card : Temporal Spell 50 ea Mutated Khalitzburg Card : Temporal Spell 70 ea 1.3. Sealed Temporal Circlet can be converted to other material (Temporal Fragment, Temporal Gemstone, Temporal Spell). The amount of materials received is random. Weapons NPC MUNINN2003 provides the service to exchange instance rewards to new weapons with 2 choices. - Player can choose desired weapon : Temporal Spell 20 ea. - Gives you 1 random weapon : Temporal Gemstone 2 ea + Temporal Fragment 20 ea. 1. Temporal Circlet Enchantment NPC OSC0005 provides the service to enchant the Temporal Circlet. The detail as below table. If you gain Mettle, Magic Essence, Acute, Master Archer, Adamantine or Affection on the third enchant. It can be upgraded, quite similar to Bio5 headgear enchantment. 1. If success. The enchant level will be upgraded by 1 level (ex. lv 4 > lv 5) 2. If fail. The enchant level will be downgraded by 1 level (ex. lv 4 > lv 3) 3. Failure on upgrading level 1 enchant just lost enchant material. Enchant still be on level 1. 4. Maximum level of enchantment is 10. Enchantment can be reset. NPC will give you 2 choices. 1. Reset with 500k zeny. 70% success. Failure will destroy headgear. 2. Reset with 2 Nyangvine Fruits. 100% success. Headgear must have at least 1 enchant attached to be reset. New Enchant details (Temporal Jewel) New cards dropped from mobs in the instance. Additional contents 1. Slotted Temporal Boots enchantment no longer destroy the boots. Only lost enchant materials. 2. Temporal Boots enchants can be reset with 2 options. 2.1. Corrupted Spell 3 ea + Temporal Fragment 10 ea. : 70% success chance. Failure will destroy the boots. 2.2.   14. Finally. The new content that has been prepared since the end of 2019! We are excited to introduce "fourth classes" to the players. Currently the team is focusing on development of the fourth classes and skill balance of the third classes. We are preparing to you in Sakray server ASAP. Today we'll introduce the new system related to fourth classes and introduce the skill balance of the third classes. 1. Fourth Classes Fourth classes can be changed from third classes (base level 200 / job level 70) <Finally. The fourth classes are updated!> Fourth classes' max level is expanded to 250. <Max level of fourth classes is 250!> 1. Trait Status System When changing to fourth classes. Status point for raising Str / Agi / Vit / Int / Dex / Luk no longer be given. Trait status point will be given to new "trait status", 6 new trait status are added. The amount of trait status point gained from raising base level doesn't increases as higher level. The certain amount of point is given as level up and bonus point is given when reach specific level. Unlike the normal status. each trait status have a fixed trait status point investment as 1 point. Make the players can check the point investment easier. <New status and stat are added!> Power (POW) / Stamina (STA) / Wisdom (WIS) / Spell (SPL) / Concentration (CON) / Creative (CRT) The effects of each trait status as below. <New trait status!> 3. New secondary status : Trait secondary status Adds 6 new secondary status that related to trait status. 3.1. Power Atk (P.Atk) : Increases final physical attack power by % 3.2. Spell Matk (S.Matk) : Increases final magical attack power by % 3.3. Resist (Res) : Reduces physical damage taken before physical defense is applied. 3.4. Magic Resist (Mres) : Reduces magical damage taken before magical defense is applied. 3.5. Heal Plus (H.Plus) : Increases final heal effectiveness by %. 3.6. Critical Damage Rate (C.Rate) : Increase power of critical on "140% damage increases". 4. Adjustment on critical damage modifier As we mentioned on previous dev note. The effectiveness of critical damage modifier on critical-able skill will be halved. And as we told before. we'll improve the skill damage formula on critical-able skills to compensate this change. <This is before and after the implementation of the patch (same level / items / buffs)!> 5. New story line, new dungeons, new monsters and new equipment are waiting for you all! Secret Wing with their rebellions are ready for the new battle! New monsters are waiting for the adventurers. New equipment from new episode. 2. Third classes second costumes Finally. The second costumes for third classes are updated. Players can change their costume via "Costume change ticket" in Stylist Shop. "Costume change ticket" can be obtained from achievement when you reach level 170 with third class character. Second costume is available in Stylist Shop! "Costume change ticket" It's reward from reaching level 170. All third classes second costumes appearance. 3. Expanding third class base level and job level. Unfortunately. Awakening system has been halted. Dev team decide to just expand third class base level to 185 and job level to 65 instead. So. There is no talent point system anymore. Dev team will develop these systems somehow in the future. BTW in this anniversary Dev team decide to just expand third class base level to 185 and job level to 65 and expand maximum level of some skills too. Dev team will adjust experience table from level 100 to 175 so third classes will gain exp more faster than before (this includes job exp table too). New aura of level 185 and job level has been increased to 65. 4. Skill adjustment due to level expansion. The following skills will be adjusted by increasing their max level and improving some of their effects. 4.1 Rune Knight 4.1.1 Enchant Blade - Increases max level from 5 to 10. - Changes SP consumption per level. 4.1.2 Sonic Wave - Increases max level from 5 to 10. - Improves damage formula. - Improve hit rate depends on skill level. - Changes SP consumption per level. 4.2 Royal Guard 4.2.1 Shield Press - Increases max level from 5 to 10. - Removes Stun status inflicting. - Improves damage formula. - Splits damage display to 5 hit. 4.2.2 Genesis Ray - Increases max level from 5 to 10. - Changes damage type from holy (physical + magical) damage to holy magical damage. - Reduces skill cooldown and delay. - Changes SP consumption per level. - Removes requirement of Banding party members and also removes increased damage from Banding party members too. 4.3 Mechanic 4.3.1 Power Swing - Increases max level from 5 to 10. - From level 6. Skill delay has been reduced by half. 4.3.2 Arm Cannon - Increases max level from 3 to 5. - Increases area of effect depends on skill level. 4.4 Genetic 4.4.1 Cart Tornado - Increases max level from 5 to 10. - Removes knockback effect. - Skill cooldown is fixed to 2 seconds. - Skill delay is increased by 1 second. - Improves damage formula. - Splits damage display to 3 hit. 4.4.2 Spore Explosion - Increases max level from 5 to 10. - Increases nearby target damage from 75% to 100%. - Explosion delay is fixed to 2 seconds. - Improves damage formula. 4.5 Guillotine Cross 4.5.1 Weapon Blocking - When blocking is successful. Gains "Counter state" for 10 seconds. 4.5.2 Counter Slash - Increases max level from 5 to 10. - Changes skill condition to can be used while "Counter state" is active, not when Weapon Blocking is successful. - Improves damage formula. - From level 6. Increases area of effect to 5x5. 4.6 Shadow Chaser 4.6.1 Fatal Menace - Increases max level from 5 to 10. - Removes teleport effect. - When uses skill while dagger is equipped. Damage will be doubled. - From level 7.   16. Cooking system has been improved on May 2019 to improve the convenience on cooking. 1. Reduces the weight of all foods to 5. 2. Critical-able skills adjustment. For obvious reason. The critical-able skills become more popular. As critical also apply 140% of max damage and ignore Hit/Flee calculation to the skills too. In addition, %critical damage modifier is applied on final damage after %race/size/property modifier applied. The non-critical-able skills only rely on the same modifier such as %long ranged modifier and %melee modifier. Such non-critical-able skills must require around 3 times of attack power to reach the same damage as critical-able skills. So. Instead of removing %critical damage modifier from affecting critical-able skills. We'll adjust the influence of %critical damage modifier on critical-able skills. As the gear that have %critical damage modifier make the diversity of playing. We'll not remove %critical damage modifier from affecting critical-able skills. By the way. we'll lower the influence of %critical damage modifier on critical-able skills. The purpose of this changes is to reduce the gap between critical-able skills and non-critical-able skills. 2. Greed skill adjustment An issues about the abusing of Greed skill has been announced since December 2019. We decide to adjust the skill as below : - Adds cooldown by 30 seconds (also apply on items that enables to use this skill as well) *after negative feedback from players since releasing this dev note. We decide to reconsider about this again. Greed skill is provided by many items and enchants, very helpful for players. By the way there is a lot of issue between abusers, who used this skill improperly, and players who received an inconvenience from abusers. We reviewed this issues and decided to change as we mentioned above. But this change bring an inconvenience to some players as well. From players feedback. We reconsider to reduces the added cooldown of the skill. We think this way can resolve the issue between abuser and players without making an inconvenience, much. So we decide to reduces the added cooldown from 30 seconds to 5 seconds. We still keep an eye on abuser who use this skill improperly against players. The purpose of this change is to improve the comfortable environment of the game. The items with auto-casting Greed effect will be changed to "Enables to to Greed level 1". 4. Removing equal distribution of experience gained from family party. Equal distribution of experience is one the function in family system. The purpose of this system is to increase the efficiency of family party leveling as this system benefits adopted child a lot. By the way. When we updated independence system to support adopted children, who would be in child form forever when their parents don't play the game anymore, to return to adult form again. Many players exploited equal distribution of experience system by leveling up many character in shortcut way (high level parents adopted child then went to high-end dungeons to gain skyrocket experience. When child has enough level s/he left the family. The parents would adopt new child then did that process again). We received many such complaints from players. So we decide to remove equal distribution of experience gained from family party as first. We will consider to add new system to support family in other way.
